[Logo Help and Digitizing Explained]
Digitizing Explained:
Digitizing is a term commonly used in the embroidery industry to describe the process of converting a design into a computer program that runs the embroidery machine.
Digitizing is both a technical and a creative process. A lot of people think their design will just be ‘scanned.’ While the digitizer may begin with a scan or a graphic file, he has to tell the embroidery machine where to put each stitch, and what order to sew the design - including where to start, stop, trim the threads, and make color changes. Poorly digitized designs lead to poor-looking designs. We sew-out first-time logos to ensure the quality of the finished logo. If changes need to be made, we refine the digitizing and sew-out the logo again. We then scan the logo and email the approval link to our customer for approval prior to embroidering their items. Your order will not be processed until you approve your logo.
Some embroiderers tout their "free" digitizing. If you really look at their prices, the digitizing is simply built into the selling price of the item, so you also pay for the digitizing on re-orders. At Buffalogo.com we really do digitize for free check out our prices compared to our competition. Our theory eat the digitizing and customers don’t have to worry about an upfront fee, and will come back again and again

Logo Sizing:
Left chest (or right chest) logos should not exceed 4.0" square. Front cap logos can be no taller than 2.25" or wider than 4.5". Visor logos can be no taller than 1.25" or wider than 4". If after reviewing your logo we feel something needs to be changed, we'll let you know. |
Accepted Logo Types:
Currently we only accept logos in JPG or GIF formats. Any graphics program should be able to save your image in either of these formats. Please try submitting a high quality version of your logo so we have more to work with when digitizing it. We do not embroider photographs or other very technical items. |
Trademarks:
Buffalogo.com/Imperial Textile assumes NO liability for trademark or copyright infringement. Our customer must have the proper authorization for the designs sent to us for digitizing and manufacturing. If a design is questioned as proprietary, we require the customer to provide proof of their right to use the design. Please do not ask us to embroider trademarked logos illegally (Polo, Fubu, etc.). |
Already Digitized Logos:
Once your logo is digitized, it will be archived and stay digitized unless changes are made to the logo. A digitized logo can be used on any of your orders without additional charges. |
